Guidelines for Planning, Construction and Maintenance of Roads (RVS)
Each RVS includes the state of the art in traffic and transport on roads and has to be used by technicians and experts involved in planning, construction and maintenance of roads. The use of these “rules of the game” on one side guarantees a uniform quality level in terms of the planning, construction and operation of transport and traffic infrastructure, and on the other side it provides a high level of safety and quality for the users of the infrastructure while at the same time generating national economic benefit. More than 300 RVS are prepared and administered by expert committees. The members of these committees are working in the fields of construction, administration, planning, science, construction industry and infrastructure operation and work in an honorary capacity. The committees are deciding which of these original German RVS are translated into English.
The current translated guidelines can be ordered single or in a RVS-Subscription with regular updates. The FSV is still working on translating RVS guidelines from German into English. The following list of RVS has been translated from the German original text, only the original German version is valid.
